About Me
Hi, I’m Michelle Velazquez.
Special Education Advocate, Master IEP Coach®, and fellow IEP Mom.
If you’ve found your way here, you might be feeling overwhelmed.
Maybe you’re exhausted from trying to figure it all out on your own.
Maybe you’ve sat in school meetings where no one really heard you—or worse, where you left more confused than when you walked in.
Maybe you’re wondering how to speak up for your child… when no one else seems to understand what they need.
I get it. I’ve been there.
Before I became a Special Education Advocate and Master IEP Coach®, I was a mom sitting at the school conference table, feeling completely unheard. I spent years trying to help my children’s teams understand the signs of Autism, sensory challenges, and the support they needed. I went to meeting after meeting—advocating fiercely, holding back tears, and leaving with more questions than answers.
More often than not, I was met with resistance… or polite dismissal. It was confusing, frustrating, and so deeply exhausting.
But through all of that, I learned how to navigate the system. I figured out what works, what doesn’t, and how to keep going—even when it feels like no one is listening.
And now? I help families like yours do the same.

Meeting Support & Advocacy
When it’s time for the IEP meeting, I’m right there with you. Whether virtually or in person, I help ensure your voice is heard, your child’s needs are clearly documented, and the team stays focused on what matters most—your child’s success.
After the meeting, we’ll regroup for a 20-minute debrief to reflect, plan next steps, and write any follow-up letters that keep the momentum going.
This Work is Personal
I do this work because I believe no parent should feel lost, dismissed, or alone in the special education process.
You deserve support. You deserve clarity. And your child deserves a team that truly sees them.
Let’s make that happen—together.
